Love Goes

“This is my commandment, that you love one other as I have loved you” (John 15:12).

Across the aisle, across the street, and around the world.

We believe that we are called to show love to those in need, be it across the aisle, across the street and around the world. We believe that we are not called to sit and watch, but instead to run to the crises.

Our “Love Goes” ministry provides love and help for individuals and organizations at all levels: local, regional, national and international.

We collect donations each month to give to local ministries. We also collect offerings for mission work throughout the world. And we plant churches to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations.

We desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to always have overwhelming generosity. We like to say that love is, love does, and LOVE GOES!

Love Goes to Cairo Initiative

Cairo is the southernmost city in Illinois. The Cairo School District has the highest percentage of children in poverty in the state of Illinois and the 15th highest in the country. For these kids, evenings and weekends are marked by hunger pains instead of play.

Our Love Goes Ministry provides 330 snack bags each month for the kids in Cairo to take home. To donate food for the snack bags, simply bring item(s) from the provided list to the Purpose House Church Connect Center, located in the main lobby. Please ensure all items are individually wrapped.

In addition to providing the snack bags, we also host a Reach Food Bank each month that is open to all Cairo residents.
